A small pause can change the whole day
A short pause will not remove a difficult day, but it can give you a moment to notice your breath, posture and next choice before reacting.
Make the pause small enough to use
Try one minute: place both feet on the floor, soften your shoulders and let your attention rest on a natural breath. There is no need to force a slower breath or make the moment perfect.
A small practice is easier to repeat between meetings, before a meal or when you arrive home. Consistency matters more than intensity.
Use it as support, not a solution to everything
Mindfulness and relaxation practices may support stress management for some people, but they are not a replacement for mental-health or medical care. If stress feels overwhelming, persistent or unsafe, seek appropriate professional support.
Our MIND RESET programme offers live, general wellbeing practices. It does not provide diagnosis, therapy or crisis support.
